Biggest influence? Glenn Kirkwood & Craig Hopkins, played under them for Heanor for 3 or 4 years of my 9 at Heanor. Great Man Managers and two of the nicest people i’ve met in the game.
Favourite current player? Ryan Yates… Underrated by many but always proves the doubters
wrong. Knows his limits but excels at the stuff he can control.
Best ground you’ve played at? Gigg Lane for Hucknall against FC United of Manchester
Best friend in football? There’s
lots I could mention but one that stands out is Brett Peel. Says he’s retired
now but I think that’s because no team makes kits long enough. Giant!
Best player you’ve played against & why? Josh March - Alvechurch. Really tricky and had a nack of
being in the right place at the right time.

others. Who’s getting an invite? Brett Peel… Ladies love him, but they can’t all have him so there’s
bound to be some scraps to work off! Mark Littlewood… Funny guy, never a dull
moment. Stef Frost great footballer, ex-pro at Notts County, my cousin &
Drinking partner since I can remember & James Belshaw, Currently Number 1
at Bristol Rovers and possibly largest Nose in football.

1 Keeper: - James Belshaw - Played with him at Heanor in his first action in Mens football, immense even at 16/17 y/o.
1 Defender: - Luke Shiels - Played with him at Hucknall - Monster in the tackle and solid at the back
2 Midfielders: - Eugen Bopp - Played with him at Dunkirk in his later years, Embodied professionalism, fit as a fiddle. Still had it.
Terry Hawkridge - Played with him at Hucknall Unbelievable talent, could twist and turn his way out of any situation.
1 Striker – Kieran Debrouwer - Played with Keano at 3 clubs… Natural finisher, loved a tackle and on his day was unplayable.
Best moment of your career? League champions with Heanor
