In Profile... Robbie McNicholas of Matlock Town

Name: Robbie McNicholas

Position: Right Back

Current Club: Matlock Town

Previous clubs: Loughborough Dynamo, Carlton Town, Basford United, Kimberley Miners Welfare & Clifton All Whites

Team supported growing up? Nottingham Forest.

Childhood hero? Wayne Rooney absolute baller, also use to be a striker when I was younger so watched him a lot and was obsessed with him.

Biggest influence? Has to be my brother, always pushing me to do extra stuff when he was in the uk and still does now whilst over in the states.

Favourite current player? Would have to say KDB, his passing range is unbelievable one of the best.

Best ground you’ve played at? Accrington Stanley, the ground and surface is decent.

Best friend in football? Got to be James Tague who’s currently at Gresley, see him the most outside of football and a funny guy, strange guy as well.

Best player you’ve played against & why? Kevin Bastos, can’t get near the guy absolutely rapid and has the quickest feet.

Stranded on an island with 3 ex or current team mates. Who would you want with you and why? I would probably say James Tague as he would just be the guy everyone laughs at, Harry Wakefield as he would be the clever one of the group and last one would have to be Kyle Dixon as he’s just a funny guy and probs would just wind everyone up.

Your All time 5 a side team of players you have played with?

1 Keeper: - Lewis King - Great shot stopper

1 Defender: - Rob Darkin - Absolute brick wall and good with his feet

2 Midfielders: - Luke Shaw - Can take any man on

Kyle Dixon - Unbelivable baller

1 Striker – Harry Wakefield - Absolute power of a shot on him.

Best moment of your career? Reaching the 1st round proper of the fa youth cup with Basford United academy.

Go to initiation song? ABBA - Dancing Queen

Pre match meal? Beans on Toast

Messi or Ronaldo? Got to be Messi just something else on the ball and creates out of nothing moments into chances.
